Six Wednesdays in September & October 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23.
Location: Growth Chess Center 974 W Main Street Sun Prairie, WI 53590
2. Tournament Format:
Tournament Format: individual Swiss
Total Rounds: 6 (1 round each Wednesday night)
Round Times: Wednesdays at 6:30PM
Time Control: G/75+5 (Game in 75 minutes with 5-second delay on each move.)
2 Sections: U1200 & 1200+ (Play up fee required if 1000-1199 to play in 1200+)
3. Byes
Byes are available for players in any rounds in case they can't participate that evening, but would like to stay in the tournament.
A maximum of two half-point byes can be requested in this tournament.
Round 1-4 byes must be requested prior to the pairing of the round. Pairings usually are posted shortly after noon on Tuesday, the day before the round.
Round 5-6 byes must be requested before start of Round 3. Round 6 bye is irrevocable to prevent possible prize-fund manipulations.
Late registrations will receive a half-point bye for any missed round, up to a total of three rounds.
4. Prizes -- $1200 based on 60 paid entries
1200+ 1st place $325, 2nd place $225, 3rd place $175, Top U1600 $100
U1200 1st place $175, 2nd place $125, 3rd place $75
Biggest Upset $50 guaranteed
5. Prize Fund -- $1200 based on 60 paid entries
Please allow a week for processing prize checks.
Per IRS rules anyone with a cumulative $600+ prizes in any calendar year will need to fill out a W9 and Growth Chess will be providing a 1099 form.

1200+ Registration: $60
Play-up Fee: $20 additional fee, only for players between 1000-1199 wishing to play in the 1200+
U1200 Registration: $50
$5 admin fee for all cancellations & refunds.
