This is the Swiss chess tournament event for the Macalester Chess Festival!

Open to all players, USCF rated.

 

Format:

Time control: G60, inc. 30

Round times:

• Saturday, March 1: 10am, 2:00pm
• Sunday, March 2: 10am, 2:00pm

Prizes:

Projected prizes (based on 20 entries):

$500 Prize Pool

Open section:

• $200 for 1st place
• $125 for 2nd place
• $75 for 3rd place

U1600:

• $100 for 1st place

Entry fees:

$40, online before February 1st

$50, online after February 1st

$60 on-site before 9:30am

 

Events included:

Joining this event allows you to participate in the other events of our chess festival.

Your registration includes:

• A chance to play IM John Bartholomew in a simul event, Saturday evening.
  • All players will be asked if they want to participate in the simul, and of whom accept, 15 random people will be chosen.
• Watch the chesswrestling show, with live commentary from Bartholomew (after the simul).
