Westminster Presbyterian Church

1500 Scio Church Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103

 

There will be plenty of parking space. Tournament will be held on the main level in the fellowship hall which is easily accessible from the main entrance. There are several places to get food nearby but the site will also be food-friendly to anyone who wants to bring their own. Just be respectful of the space!

 

Format:

4 round Swiss, USCF rated with 3 sections

Champions (1800+)

Challengers (U1800)

Futures (U1200)

 

Time Control:

G45+10 for all sections

 

Rounds:

8:30am-9am: Walk-on registration (Anyone registering online will not need to check in with me. You will automatically get paired).

9:15am: Pairings & Announcements (rules, schedule, etc.)

9:30am Round 1

12pm Round 2

2pm Round 3

4:30pm Round 4

Awards after final round concludes.

 

Entry Fee:

$40 for all sections through Sunday 7/20. Add $5 after.

Play up fee $10 for players within 100 rating points of the higher section (1700+ for Champions & 1100+ for Challengers)

 

Prizes:

For all sections:

1st, 2nd & 3rd: Trophy + Money prize

Champions (1800+): Money prizes from 75% of entry fees.

Challengers (U1800) & Futures (U1200): Money prizes from 50% of entry fees.
